VDP03 Exploratory Design Concept

These are my first concept sketches for my chest.

This first sketch is how I envisioned the chest to look. A mess of stitched together skin and gray matter all cruelly wrapped in a bow with clear pipes. The skin is tattered with holes and different patches sewn together. In future designs, I want the skin to be stretched thin, to the point where it's almost ripping. The brain is a big mass of organic lump pressed together, bearing most of the weight of the chest. In future sketches, I would bulge the left side out very slightly.

In this second sketch, I wanted to mess with the weight of the brain. Instead of having the brain spill over the skin like I have it in the first sketch, I created this idea where the brain is so heavy, that pushes down on the pipe and skin that it is resting on, curving it.

For this final sketch, I wanted to represent the chest in its "open state". The pipes twist together to become spikes that puncture the head and arm of whoever enters its vicinity. The brain and worn skin flattens out to a plane, so it can easily fit the form of the person that it will implant itself to.
